The first core is typically taken from an area showing signs of concern, such as unusual cracking, movement, separation, or deterioration.

This provides the laboratory with a sample from an area where a potential problem is already presenting itself.

CORE #2

COMPARISON AREA

The second core is typically taken from a separate area of the pool shell for comparison and additional analysis.

Evaluating concrete from separate locations can provide additional information about conditions within the pool rather than relying on a single sample.

Final sampling locations are determined based on the condition and construction of the pool and the sampling requirements of the independent laboratory.

INDEPENDENT LABORATORY ANALYSIS

The concrete samples are submitted to an independent concrete laboratory for professional petrographic examination and evaluation for evidence consistent with Alkali-Silica Reaction.

WRITTEN LABORATORY REPORT

You'll receive the laboratory's written findings so you're not making a major decision based solely on what can be seen at the surface.

RESULTS CONSULTATION

Once your results are available, Austin Dreamscapes will review the findings with you and discuss what your next steps may look like.
